How Crafting Works in Nightingale

Crafting in Nightingale is an interesting take on the standard crafting mechanics that you've probably already experienced in other crafting games. Outside of the basic crafting you can do in your inventory to create Makeshift items, any crafting taking place on a workbench will be effected by the environment, as well as the qualities of your ingredients for each recipe. 

When you create new crafting stations, building them inside usually increases crafting time, and you'll get similar bonuses for things like proximity to lighting and other decorative augmentations. 

Some augmentations can also unlock further crafting recipes at the different stations, but you'll have to unlock these from merchants throughout the realms. 

How to Unlock More Recipes

To unlock more crafting recipes you'll have to visit every Essence Trader you can get your hands on, whenever you visit a new realm. Each new realm type and tier will produce different merchants, so try combining different types to unlock different recipes and resources. 

You can find the closest Essence Trader on your map, denoted by a spiky square symbol. This symbol appears by default whenever you enter a new realm, so make sure you go and find them immediately.

Below is a list of all of the crafting recipes and the various crafting stations you can find in the game. Check back for updates as we discover more crafting recipes in the game. 

Simple Tanning Station

You can throw together a Simple Tanning Station in your inventory for 6 sticks and 10 plant fiber. 

• Animal Fibre - 2 Meat 
• Chitenous Bone - 1 Chitin
• Chitenous Hide - 1 Chitin
• Felt - 2 Hide
• Leather - 2 Hide 
• Straps - 1 Hide

Simple Saw Table

Build a Simple Saw Table with 8 wood bundles, 4 stone block,s and 4 animal fiber. 

• Lumber - 2 Wood Bundles
• Paper - 2 Wood Bundles
• Pole - 2 Lumber
• Reclaimed Lumber - 1 Lumber

Simple Spinning Wheel

Build a Simple Spinning Wheel with 3 wood bundles, 15 fibre, and 1 bone. 

• Refined Fibre - 6 Fibre 
• Twine - 2 Fibre
• Whick - 2 Twine
• Charm Twine (Eye) - 1 Twine, 1 Glass
• Charm Twine (Hand) - 1 Twine, 1 Ingot 
• Charm Twine (Heart) - 1 Twine, 1 Polished Coral
• Charm Twine (Mind) - 1 Twine, 1 Refined Pigment

Simple Enchanters Focus

Craft a Simple Enchanters Focus with 1 lumber, 2 ingots, and 5 glass.

• Charm of Fervor - 1 Rough Bauble, 1 Charm Twine (Heart)
• Charm of the Spellsword - 1 Rough Bauble, 1 Charm Twine (Mind)
• Recovery (enchantment) - 1 Weak Human Seal, 30 Essence Dust
• Constancy Infusion (Durability) - 25 Essence

Simple Mortar Station

Create a Simple Mortar Station using 3 lumber and 8 fiber. 

• Refined Flour - 10 Flour Grain
• Refined Millet - 10 Millet Grain
• Alchemical Ink - 1 Refined Pigment, 1 Glass
• Refined Pigment - 2 Pigment
• Seed - 5 Plant
