How to Use Sarentu Totems in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

This guide will tell you how to find Sarentu Totems in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, how to solve the puzzle for these totems, and what you get as a reward.

As you journey across the Map in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you'll eventually encounter Sarentu Totems -- strange relics left behind by the ancestors of your clan. Each Sarentu Totem is a puzzle that can unlock ancient knowledge to power up your Na'vi. In this guide, we'll tell you how to solve them and what you'll get.

How to Find Sarentu Totems

Much like other points of interest on the Map, Sarentu Totems can be found simply by exploring. You'll see them appear on the Map as a vague purple cloud; when you get close enough, you'll see whether or not you've found a Sarentu Totem.

We've included a Map of all of the Sarentu Totem locations we've found so far. After that, we'll explain what you need to do to solve these puzzles and what you get as a reward!

How to Solve Sarentu Totems

Solving a Sarentu Totem puzzle in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora involves following the arrows until you reach a meditation circle that is looking at the Sarentu Totem from a different perspective.

Take a look at this example of a Sarentu Totem in the Upper Plains:

The Sarentu Totem itself has a greenish-blue triangle on it that is pointing to the left. That points to a smaller circular structure with a similar flag.

Here's the continuation of that same path:

You have to follow each arrow to the next arrow by traveling in a straight line. It isn't always a perfectly straight path, but it will give you an idea of where to look for the next marker.

You'll know you're at the end of the trail when you see a circle on the ground with the Sarentu Totem in view.

Use the "Observe" interaction while standing in the meditation circle and your character will sit down and meditate on the view behind the Sarentu Totem. Once the meditation is complete, it will also advance the Quest "Sarentu Totems."

Here's a fun tip, by the way: you don't actually need to follow this trail. You could find the Sarentu Totem meditation point simply by looking around (especially if you're using your Ikran)

Sarentu Totems Reward

The Sarentu Totems Quest has multiple stages, and completing each stage of the quest will give you some kind of award. For example, completing the first three will give you access to the following piece of Armor:

Unfortunately, you're only getting the Design -- you'll have to find the Resources to make it yourself if you want to actually use this item. The stats on it are pretty disappointing for an endgame character, too, so you'll probably want to complete the Sarentu Totems in a zone as early as you can.
