Dontnod, known for the hit series Life is Strange, returns with another narrative adventure called Tell Me Why, featuring twins Tyler and Alyson. The twins share a strong bond and seek out their childhood memories in order to process them. This very same bond will be affected by the choices made throughout the game while exploring the twins' memories of different events, giving the player the option of which one to believe. Tyler is portrayed as a transgender man, and Dontnod enlisted the help of LGBTQ organization GLAAD to aid in portraying an authentic character.
