After seeing a bit of gameplay from the Legendary Hunt, we then moved on to the Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass release date. The Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass is coming July 2, 2019, and it will be called Battle Charge.

If you’ve been living under a rock, Apex Legends is a Battle Royale game created by Respawn Entertainment and set in the Titanfall universe. It originally launched earlier in 2019 and exploded in popularity, but it’s since calmed down somewhat across various metrics.

There will be a new legend, a new weapon, a new way to play the game, and “perhaps a map event”. Respawn Entertainment has taken in a good deal of feedback from the community. They also plan to rebalance the game’s existing meta, although Jay Frechette didn’t go into specifics about how exactly the meta is going to change.

Along with the reveal of the Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass release date, we also got a look at a new Caustic Legendary Skin that will be coming with the Battle Pass.

There are going to be even more changes on the Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass release date. Badges and stat trackers are going to be taken away from the battle pass, so there will be less “filler” overall. There will be two new character skins and two new weapon skins. In addition, the Season 2 Battle Pass is going to be shifting away from a leveling model and it will have a stronger focus on completing daily and weekly challenges, a change that should make progression a little faster and much more interesting than it is right now.

We then saw a short trailer hyping us up for Season 2. Notably, we saw the eye of a giant creature at one point. The folks behind the game were all hush-hush about it, but we may well be seeing some sort of creatures landing on the island at the start of Season 2.

The Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass release date is July 2, 2019. No price has been announced for the Season 2 Battle Pass, but you can probably expect it to cost the same amount as the first season’s pass. Don’t forget to hop in the game right now and take advantage of the Double XP weekend!
