Hello, TechRaptor readers! Here’s what you may have missed in the world of tabletop wargaming over the last week.
First up is Raging Heroes’ opening of the Pledge Manager for their Toughest Girls Of The Galaxy 2 Kickstarter. The Pledge Manager will be open for another week, allowing Kickstarter backers to pre-order their favorite miniatures from the model line. Due to issues with shipping globally for such a small company, the process is somewhat convoluted and backers are encouraged to pay close attention to the instructions for paying the shipping fee and getting your accounts set up.
Next, we have the release of the Warzone Resurrection open beta rule set from Prodos Games. The rules are available from the Prodos Games download section and contains the main game rules along with rules for every faction. The company is also offering a 30% discount on all Warzone products until July 14th to help promote the game and get more people testing the new rules.
Games Workshop has picked up the pace of their releases this weekend with the pre-order announcement for the next wave of Sylvaneth models and books. Battletome: Sylvaneth is available for pre-order now, along with models for Alarielle the Everqueen, Drycha Hamadreth, Kurnoth Hunters, Spite-Revenants ( a dual kit that also makes Tree-Revenants), and the Branchwych. The company also announced the Chaos Dreadhold: Crucible, a Chaos-themed terrain piece designed to fit in perfectly with the Chaos Dreadhold system and Gorechosen, a small and fast-paced board game pitting various Khorne worshippers against one another in a gladiatorial arena for a chance to win the blessings of the Blood God. The Realmgate Wars: All-Gates, the final chapter in the Realmgate Wars campaign book series, was also announced. And finally, pre-orders are up for the General’s Handbook, an expansion for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar widely anticipated by the community for its rules for competitive play, complete with a points system for easier tournament play. All items save the General’s Handbook will be available in stores on July 9th, which will hit store shelves on July 23rd.
Forge World recently announced pre-orders for the Mechanicum Ursarax for their Horus Heresy game. The automata are armed with a chest-mounted Volkite Incinerator and a pair of lightning claws, making them a formidable opponent on the battlefield. The models come in packs of three from Forge World, and complete unit stats can be found in The Horus Heresy: Mechanicum – Taghmata Army List book. Pre-orders are now available for 30 GBP and will ship out on July 8th.
And finally, Corvus Belli announced pre-orders for Operation: Red Veil, a new starter set for Infinity. Pitting Yu Jing and Haqqislam against each other, the starter set will contain 14 metal miniatures (including two exclusives), an exclusive Yuan Yuan mercenary model only available to people who pre-order, a set of dice, a papercraft scenery pack, markers and template sheet, game mat, and an introductory rulebook. The company also announced several GenCon 2016 exclusives as well. Infinity aficionados will also be able to pre-order the Miyamoto Mushashi Aristeia! Outfit miniature along with the long-awaited USAriadna Unknown Ranger either from GenCon directly or from the Corvus Belli store directly during the convention. The Red Veil starter set is currently priced at 89.95 EUR on the Corvus Belli store, and all GenCon 2016 exclusives are expected to ship in early September.
