Welcome to the final day of spoiler season for the newest Magic: The Gathering set, Kaladesh. Wizards of the Coast has finally spoiled the entirety of the set after two weeks of daily previews from various outlets and Magic: The Gathering personalities - including ourselves.

While we won't be covering all of the cards that were spoiled in today's full spoiler, we will touch on the final three Kaladesh Story Spotlight cards that were released today. Our readers will remember that beginning with Inventors' Fair, Wizards of the Coast has designated pivotal events and locations within the set's story with special watermarked cards. We saw another of these Story Spotlight cards previewed on Wednesday, September 14.

The third Story Spotlight card is Deadlock Trap, an Artifact with a casting cost of three generic mana. It enters the battlefield tapped, and when it enters the battlefield you get two energy counters. By tapping Deadlock Trap and paying one energy counter, you can tap target Creature or Planeswalker so that its activated abilities can't be activated that turn. Deadlock Trap features two Planeswalkers of the Gatewatch group, Nissa and Chandra, held captive in some sort of prison. As this presumably takes place after the second Story Spotlight in which renegade leader (and Chandra's long-lost mother) Pia Nalaar surrenders herself into captivity, it can be assumed that Nissa and Chandra have been captured as a result of trying to free Pia.

Fateful Showdown is the fourth Story Spotlight card and is an Instant spell with a casting cost of two generic and two Red mana. It deals damage to target creature or player equal to the number of cards in your hand. You then discard your hand and draw that many cards from your library. This Story Spotlight features a captive Pia Nalaar being forced to fight against the Inventors' Fair Head Judge Tezzeret, who is secretly a Planeswalker native to the Alaran Shard of Esper and an agent for various malignant forces such as New Phyrexia and Nicol Bolas.

The fifth and final Story Spotlight card is Confiscation Coup, a Sorcery spell with a casting cost of three generic and two Blue mana. You choose target Artifact or Creature, and then receive four energy counters. You may an amount of energy counters equal that permanent's converted mana cost; if you do, you gain control of that Artifact or Creature. This Story Spotlight card features the presumable climax of Kaladesh, with Tezzeret making his move and seizing the inventions of the Fair.
