This announcement comes shortly after the success of one of CMON's projects on the platform. A Song of Ice & Fire: Tactics was fully funded on Gamefound within seven hours and has raised more than $1 million during its crowdfunding campaign.

“I am extremely happy to bring CMON campaigns to Gamefound. They were not only pioneers in board game crowdfunding and the biggest crowdfunding creator of all time, but most importantly are creating and delivering amazing games to customers all over the world,” said Gamefound CEO Marcin Świerkot. “Gamefound’s features and continued growth over the past two years make this partnership a natural fit, and will help both of our companies reach new audiences, ensuring great games make their way to great people.”

CMON's ongoing success in the tabletop industry cannot be understated. In addition to multiple Zombicide sets, including crossovers like Iron Maiden and DCeased, the studio has also been behind several overseas localization projects for TTRPGs like Household and Meikyu Kingdom.

As for Gamefound, it has been gaining a reputation as healthy competition to Kickstarter. In addition to receiving funding from the likes of Ravensburger, the platform made waves with the implementation of its stable pledge program, meant to combat rising shipping costs at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown.

At the time of writing, the only board game project part of the CMON Gamefound exclusivity partnership is an officially licensed God of War board game. This will be an adaptation of a Norse-themed soft reboot of the series, featuring protagonist Kratos and his son Atreus.
