Today Nihon Falcon shared a lot of sweet gameplay of the upcoming action JRPG Ys X: Nordics, showing multiple aspects of the game.
We get to see two stages that will be included in the playable demo created for Tokyo Game Show. Interestingly, there are five levels of difficulty to choose from: easy, normal, hard, nightmare, and inferno.
The video includes gameplay of both stages, Karon Island and Falaise Peninsula (you can click on each link to find the timestamps for each segment of gameplay), and there's certainly plenty to watch. You can also check out the full livestream below.
In other Ys news, we hear that Kotobukiya is working on two figures dedicated to Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.
As you may expect, the two figures portray Adol and Dana, and more information has been promised down the line. For now, the prototypes have not been revealed just yet.
Ys X: Nordics will release in Japan and Asia on September 28, 2023, for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. An announcement for a Western release has not been made just yet.
Usually, the localization of Nihon Falcom games is done by NIS America, and they're usually slightly faster with Ys games than with Trails games, mostly because they're not several titles behind.
Hopefully, we'll hear more relatively soon, especially considering that the Japanese release date is just a couple of weeks away.
If you want to see more of the upcoming game you can check out a few trailers with English subtitles, including one focusing on the story, one on the action gameplay, and one on the characters.
Unfortunately, despite the English subtitles, these aren't related to the official English localization as they're released by Clouded Leopard Entertainment, which publishes the game for South East Asia without actually including the English language.
