Butterfinger and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Collaboration

Today Ferrara Candy Company and Square Enix announced a collaboration between Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the popular candy bar Butterfinger.

The collaboration has two sides to it, one of which adds to the team the popular charity Extra Life.

By participating you can earn yourself an in-game item for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and more.

The first way to participate is by donating $5 to Extra Life with the Butterfinger team on Extra Life Gameday between November 4 and November 5.

In exchange, you'll receive the Shinra Bangle Mk II, which you can see below. While its specific effects are unknown, it'll boost a character's stats.

Another way to participate is by purchasing a Butterfinger bar and typing in the UPC code on the event's page. That'll give you a chance to win a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth game code, a Sony Bravia XR X90 4K TV, and a HyperX Cloud III gaming headset.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released for PS5 on February 29, 2024 (You can pre-order a physical copy on Amazon). While the initial release will be be only on Sony's console, we already know that the exclusivity window officially ends only three months after launch

While it's very likely that the game will be released on other platforms, nothing has been said officially, and it's very possible that it'll take longer than three months for any port to be ready. At the moment, we'll have to wait and see what Square Enix announces down the line.

If you'd like to read more about the game itself, you can check out the definitely enthusiastic preview by our Erren Van Duine, who provides a lot of interesting details, on top of our interview with game director Naoki Hamaguchi, who teases an interesting detail and more..
