The Xbox One X started out as Project Scorpio and was announced at E3 2016, with 2017 revealing its name as the Xbox One X, its specs, and its price at $499. With the console releasing on November 7th, pre-orders are now available.

Right now the Xbox One X is available from the following retailers:

While only Amazon, GameStop, and Walmart specifically list the Project Scorpio edition of the Xbox One X, the Xbox website seems to imply that all of these early consoles will be the Project Scorpio edition of the console. Without them outright saying so, however, the only three places that explicitly say Project Scorpio Edition should be trusted if you want that version of the console. Supplies on it are limited, however, and once they're gone it will just be a regular old Xbox One X.

That video shows what the Project Scorpio Edition of the Xbox One X looks like. As you can see, it's pretty simple with just an addition of "Project Scorpio" in green lettering on the front of the console and then on the controller, a printed exterior, and an exclusive Xbox One X stand. You can watch Larry Hyrb, better known as Major Nelson, go through what comes in the Project Scorpio Edition box here.

Pre-orders are filling fast so if you are interested in the Project Scorpio Edition, you should probably do so now otherwise you won't be able to in the future. When the regular console becomes available, as right now all that appears to be available for pre-order is Project Scorpio Edition, we'll let you all know.

The Xbox One X releases November 7th, 2017 for $499.
