If you have been chomping at the bit to try out Ninja Team's dark fantasy set in the Three Kingdoms, the Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty release date has just been announced for March 3rd, so rest easy. The Soulslike, which was announced back in June this year, will be made available on PC, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation consoles, and it will also be available day one on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, which is nice. There have been so many Soulslikes recently that it was only a matter of time before Ninja Team took a stab (heh) at it, so it'll be interesting to see how well they do.

In addition to a Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty release date, Koei Tecmo America has also just announced the existence of a Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Digital Deluxe Edition. It will include a Season Pass that features three DLC packs, which will have new generals, demons, scenarios, stages, weapon types, and more. The Deluxe Edition will also have a digital artbook to pore over and mini soundtrack for fans to jam out to, and as one final bonus it will include Qinglong Armor to look snazzy in.

If you end up purchasing the game's digital or physical variants by March 16th, you'll receive the special Baihu Armor, with those preordering digitally getting the Zhuque Armor as well. Along with that, there will be a limited-edition Steelbook available at launch that will include bonus DLC items Crown of Zhurong and Crown of Gonggong.

As for what exactly this game is, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an action RPG that tells the story of a militia soldier fighting to survive in a dark fantasy Three Kingdoms world. It's set in 184 AD, Later Han Dynasty China. To fight off enemy soldiers and deadly creatures that you encounter, you will awaken your true power from within while using swordplay that's based on Chinese martial arts. Once these creatures and demons are defeated, you will help boost morale and continue the fight. While fighting, you will switch from defensive to offensive maneuvers and overwhelm your foes with your skilled swordplay.
