A new Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin game overview trailer has been released, delving deep into the game's combat, gameplay modes, and more.

First up, the trailer shows off the game's cinematic campaign, which will let you play as four factions: the Stormcast Eternals, the Orruk Kruleboyz, the Nighthaunt, and one more faction that's yet to be announced.

The campaign boasts the involvement of Black Library writer Gav Thorpe, so it's not just an afterthought; if you love Warhammer lore, you'll be right at home here.

Next, we get a look at the Conquest mode, a single-player procedurally-generated campaign that pits you against a "series of unpredictable combat scenarios and maps" with "rule-breaking twists".

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin's multiplayer modes then get the spotlight. You can take your game online to face off against Realms of Ruin players around the world.

If you don't want to take things too seriously, you can hop into Casual play, but ranked competitive modes are also available. You can also choose whether you want to take part in 1v1 or 2v2 matches, or even play co-operatively with a friend.

Excitingly, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin also features a map editor, which uses the same tools that the developers utilized to create existing maps.

You can choose the size, biomes, terrain, and much more for your map, and you can place in-game items and objectives wherever you like. Of course, you can then share those maps with the world.

The army livery editor and scene editor give you even more control over your custom Realms of Ruin experience, too, allowing you to set up gruesome war-torn scenes however you want.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on November 17th.
