Frontier has released a new Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Faction Focus video, and this one's all about the sneaky, underhanded Orruk Kruleboyz.

This faction consists of "swamp-dwelling Orruks" that favor Mork's cunning over Gork's brutality. They use tactics like poisoned weapons and beast mounts to overwhelm enemies in a style of combat "based around subterfuge and raiding".

Age of Sigmar's Kruleboyz will be led by a fearsome Killaboss by the rather excellent name of Dankfear. Together with his underlings, this Killaboss leads raids against the Stormcast Eternals' city of Harkanibus.

In combat terms, Realms of Ruin's Kruleboyz will field "sneaky grunts and deadeye marksmen", according to Frontier.

They'll scope out the battlefield defensively before rushing to overwhelm their enemies with cruel combat tactics and "vicious beasts of war". Unlike the Ironjawz, the Orruk Kruleboyz don't have much in the way of brawn, so they need to rely on stealth to get the job done.

Orruk Kruleboyz units include long-range ballistae, short-range buffer and debuffer units, and the Marshcrawla Sloggoth, which is sort of like a Realms of Ruin Doof Wagon.

In the multiplayer mode, the Kruleboyz look like they'll be great as long as you're not in protracted open combat with your sneaky grunts. Since they're not a brawny faction, you'll need your wits about you if you want to play as the Orruk Kruleboyz.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is a real-time strategy game headed to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime soon. It'll focus on combat and tactical engagements rather than protracted base-building.

We don't yet know when the game will be released, but an open beta is headed your way between July 7th and July 10th. Make sure to check that out if you want to try out the Kruleboyz or their bitter rivals, the Stormcast Eternals.
