Warhammer Age of Sigmar Realms of Ruin Stormcast Eternal

Today Frontier Developments revealed a new trailer of its upcoming RTS game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin.

The trailer focuses on the Stormcast Eternals, the fancy-named faction that will provide the protagonists to the game's story and is perhaps the most iconic within Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Funnily, Age of Sigmar detractors and players with a sense of humor in general call them the Fantasy Space Marines, and I'm sure that watching the trailer below will let you easily identify the reason. You can also watch the on-demand recording of an extensive livestream in which the developers talk more about how the faction plays.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is coming for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and doesn't yet have a release date, albeit an open beta between July 7 and July 10. Here's how Frontier describes the game:

Wage a campaign of brutal conquest in this realm-shattering real-time strategy game set in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe. Command four unique factions in dynamic battles as part of a story-driven campaign and test your mettle against warlords afar in online multiplayer.

If you'd like to see more, you can check out the debut trailer from Warhammer Skulls and the gameplay debut from the PC Gaming Show.

If you'd rather play the real Warhammer, Creative Assembly has recently shared a roadmap of content until Spring 2024 and beyond, following the release of the Chaos Dwarf DLC.
