It's time for another look at the UK boxed charts for this past week, and a surprise contender has inched its way onto the throne.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is this week's number one, having pipped Tears of the KingdomMario Kart 8 Deluxe, and FIFA 23 to the post.

The Lego sandbox adventure's reappearance in the charts may well be down to the impending release of Disney's Ahsoka streaming series, the first episode of which airs on August 23rd.

The game is, however, still available on Xbox Game Pass, so its appearance in these charts is pretty impressive.

Second place in the UK boxed charts this week goes to FIFA 23, ahead of EA Sports FC 24's release next month, which will see EA's soccer franchise officially change its name for the first time in 30 years.

FIFA 23 has had another strong sales showing in the UK boxed charts this week.

In third place, it's Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which recently saw a fresh wave of course and character DLC added to its roster. Fourth place goes to Hogwarts Legacy, surprising absolutely no-one.

Fifth place is occupied by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which we recently learned has hit 18.51 million units shipped at Nintendo's last count. In sixth, it's God of War Ragnarok.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is in seventh place, while eighth place goes to Gran Turismo 7, the renewed popularity of which could well be down to the release of the Gran Turismo movie (and the accompanying tie-in update for the game).

Pikmin 4 is in ninth place, and in tenth, it's Grand Theft Auto V, another game which simply will not die, at least until the appearance of Grand Theft Auto VI (assuming last year's leaks haven't pushed the project back too far, that is).

Positions eleven through fifteen are taken up by MinecraftForspokenElden RingMortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, and Nintendo Switch Sports, respectively.
