If you're a fan of Star Wars and you're a Game Pass subscriber, then Christmas has come early for you. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming to Game Pass next week, bringing the full Star Wars story to the subscription service in all of its blocky glory.
According to the official Xbox Wire blog, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will arrive on Game Pass on December 6th. Xbox doesn't specify whether it's coming to PC or consoles, but we can assume that since they don't say PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass, the game will be available across all platforms. The jury's still out on cloud gaming, though.
If you haven't played Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga yet, as the name suggests, it collects all nine of the main Star Wars movies in a single game. You can start with any of the three trilogies, guiding heroes like Luke Skywalker, Rey, Poe Dameron, and many others through their respective stories.
There are over 300 characters to unlock and play as throughout the course of The Skywalker Saga, and over 100 vehicles to control. The combat has been overhauled since the old days of Lego, too, so it's more fluid and intuitive this time around. Of course, this being a Lego game, you'll also be able to play through the whole thing alongside a friend or family member.
Xbox says Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is arriving on Game Pass "starting December 6th", and it'll be appearing on PC and consoles, as well as via Xbox Cloud Gaming if you're an Ultimate subscriber. There's plenty to love on Game Pass this month; it's been a good couple of months for the service as a whole.
Other games heading to Xbox Game Pass in December
As well as Lego Star Wars, Xbox has also announced a raft of other games heading to Xbox Game Pass this December. There's a veritable treasure trove of good stuff coming your way this month, so get ready to clear your backlog (fat chance, right?) for these.
First up, from today, you can check out the charming RPG Eastward across all platforms, as well as The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Totally Reliable Delivery Service is also heading to PC today, so if you're looking for something to play alongside your PC gaming friends, you could do a lot worse than that.
Early December brings Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Hello Neighbor 2, both of which are being added to all Game Pass platforms on December 6th. JRPG tribute Chained Echoes is coming on December 8th, and the excellent rhythm FPS Metal: Hellsinger is coming to Xbox One on that date as well.
December 13th brings Justin Roiland's quirky shooter High On Life and the alchemist simulator Potion Craft. Finally, on December 15th, you're getting Hot Wheels Unleashed's Game of the Year edition and the Paper Mario-inspired RPG Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan.
Of course, as ever, some games must depart the service, and so it is with this month. Here's what's leaving on December 15th.
- Aliens: Fireteam Elite
- Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
- One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4
- Race with Ryan
- Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth
- Rory McIlroy PGA Tour
- Transformers: Battlegrounds
