The UK boxed sales charts data for this week (ending August 12th) has been released, and the top three spots are still holding fast from last week.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which claimed the top spot for the week ending August 5th, has once again been crowned at number one this week.

Second and third place are held by FIFA 23 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, respectively.

FIFA 23 is likely hanging around in the top three due to the impending launch of EA Sports FC 24, which is set to hit PC and consoles next month.

Mario Kart, meanwhile, enjoys perennial popularity in these charts, and the recent release of a new DLC wave for the game probably hasn't hurt its sales either.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continues its phenomenal run of form by leaping back up to fourth place, having been in fifth last week.

In fifth place, it's Grand Theft Auto V, which recently saw one of its most popular modding communities officially joining Rockstar.

Sixth place this week goes to Hogwarts Legacy, which has fallen from last week's fourth place position. Seventh place, meanwhile, is occupied by Minecraft, which is another game that just won't quit.

Pikmin 4 sits in eighth place, and ninth place goes to Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, which is likely picking up popularity due to next month's Mortal Kombat 1 launch.

Gran Turismo 7 is in tenth place, and its resurgence in the charts probably has a lot to do with the Gran Turismo movie's release last week. Prior to that launch, Sony also released an update for the game that added the movie's signature Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 '18.

Eleventh through fifteenth place in the UK charts this week run as follows: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles MoralesNintendo Switch SportsStreet Fighter 6God of War Ragnarok, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
