A powerful punch in UFC 5

Today EA Sports revealed the game modes you can enjoy in the upcoming MMA game UFC 5, including new and returning ones.

We learn about the revamped UFC Fight Week, which is now an event-driven live service feature including several different areas of gameplay.

Fight Week Challenges presents players with PPV-related objectives that unlock rewards including vanity items for your created fighter, player profile customization assets, emotes, and even alter egos inspired by existing UFC athletes.

Fight Picks lets players predict the outcome of PPV matches. If you are accurate in your predictions, you can earn UFC coins that can be used to buy more customization options.

Fight Week Contracts will offer daily fights of increasing difficulty throughout the week. These fights are against AI opponents inspired by the current UFC calendar.

The Online Career Mode has skill-based matchmaking, division progression, and the ability to chase titles across four different divisions. You fight with your created fighter and you can unlock new skills while earning experience fighting other players.

You can even Prestige when you reach the level cap, which resets your progression but raises the player cap and lets you access special techniques

Of course, the normal career mode is still around, alongside coach Davis, new cinematics, new locations, more fighters to interact with, better onboarding for new players, and improved training camps and sparring drills.

For those who just want to fight, the Fight Now game mode has been restructured including various types of fights like Main Card, Main Event, Championship, Backyard, and Kumite.
