Announced in a press release, Telltale Games has hired Pete Hawley as their new CEO. The former CEO Dan Connors, a co-founder of the company, will still be at Telltale but will assume an advisory role as Hawley starts on September 18th.

Hawley has been in gaming in some form or another since 1999 where he was Head of Production for Lionhead Studios when they were working on the original Fable, Black & White, and The Movies. From there he's worked at many different companies including Sony as a Development Director, Criterion Games as an Executive Producer, Electronic Arts as Vice President of Product Development, CrowdStar as Vice President of Product Development, co-founded Red Robot Labs, and most recently was a Vice President and General Manager of Zynga.

Hawley had this to say about joining Telltale:

I am a huge fan of all Telltale Games and what they've achieved as a company in becoming the leading storytellers in gaming under the leadership of Dan and Kevin. I look forward to working closely with Telltale Games’ talented team, industry leading IP and partners to drive new ways to bring players together in innovative and exciting game content. Telltale is unique, and I’m thrilled to be a part of its amazing future.
A new CEO means some changes may be coming to Telltale Games in the future, which we'll keep an eye on. Considering the not-so-great reception to their Guardians of the Galaxy series and the newest season of Minecraft: Story Mode, they may be looking for a fresh set of ideas for the company. Though the new Batman: The Enemy Within seems to be doing well.

Currently, Telltale Games has new episodes coming from Guardians of the Galaxy, Minecraft: Story Mode, and Batman: The Enemy Within. The Walking Dead: The Final Season is set for sometime next year, as well as season two of The Wolf Among Us. Right now, Game of Thrones: Season Two is on hold, with no news of a potential release date or window.
