Tangledeep update 1.25 for the dungeon crawler has been released. The patch adds a number of gameplay balances and tweaks, as well as an all-new difficulty mode.

Savage World is described by Tangledeep developer Impact Gameworks as "the ultimate challenge for those who have defeated even New Game+". Just like NG+, Savage World restarts Tangledeep while maintaining player progress. The game's difficulty is greatly increased in this mode. To compensate, players have greater treasure-finding prospects and gear can be upgraded to ++++ in the Dreamcaster. Difficulty tweaks are numerous; monsters have additional stats, targeting patterns are more challenging, and boss fights now spawn additional enemies. Check out the full patch notes for more on the Savage World mode.

There are also a whole lot of quality-of-life improvements and gameplay balance tweaks in Tangledeep patch 1.25. Impact Gameworks has added the ability to launch the game without a launcher, as well as fixing numerous bugs and improving certain aspects of the UI. Again, it's worth reading the full patch notes for a complete list of changes. Most players aren't likely to notice them moment-to-moment, but they should contribute to a smoother gameplay experience.

Impact Gameworks says that porting Tangledeep's Legend of Shara DLC expansion is "going well". The studio also says it expects to have a beta version of the game's Spanish translation available sometime this month. No word yet on exactly when we can expect either, so stay tuned for more on that. In the meantime, you can buy Tangledeep on Steam right here. If you love the game, you can check out its Legend of Shara DLC here. The DLC adds a unique new story, as well as new monsters to conquer and new gameplay elements.

Dark Souls changed my life, and I'm here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
