Battlefront 2

Star Wars Battlefront 2 has had a tumultuous history to say the least. Despite the backlash surrounding microtransactions casting a very dark cloud over what is actually a pretty decent game, the game got even better and better with each successful update until its final update was released back in April 2020.

You wouldn't have known it for a game that has the most downvoted post in Reddit history tied to it, but EA and DICE really turned things around for Star Wars Battlefront 2. Still, it's been almost two years since the last update and like most games that no longer receive updates it was undoubtedly becoming less and less popular over time.

That's about to change with the introduction of private servers for the PC version. Check out the teaser below:

So what does this mean? Well, before now it hasn't been possible to play online with mods before. BattleDash, a developer over at OriginRealms, was the sole developer behind the year-long project. Basically, players will soon be able to play the game how they want and with much less fear of hacks ruining their game.

Hacks in Battlefront 2 are fairly prevalent right now. With the introduction of private dedicated servers, there will not only be cool mods and situations that can only arise from custom servers, but also server moderators that will catch and get rid of hackers. Win/win, right?

If you want to know more, the full release of the Star Wars Battlefront 2 custom servers will be later this week. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more information.
