One of the most heated discussions among the Final Fantasy community is the pronunciation of the name of Cait Sith. Now Square Enix has put it to rest, at least for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
According to a post on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the game, the correct pronunciation in the new game will be "Kate Sihth"
Looks like fans won't have to get used to the possibly unfamiliar pronunciation of Cat Sith, the creature from Celtic folklore that serves as inspiration for the character.
Cait Sith is one of the several characters who will be introduced in the second game of the trilogy, and many in the community are certainly excited about his arrival.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will finally launch for PS5 on February 29, 2024.
While it'll probably be released on other platforms (or at least on PC, like its predecessor), we already know that the exclusivity window officially ends three months after launch. This doesn't mean that ports will necessarily come that quickly, of course.

It's the second game of the trilogy that started with Final Fantasy VII Remake, which debuted in 2020 for PS4 to critical and fan acclaim and then re-released as Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for PS5 and PC in 2021.
