Arr you ready kids? SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated will release on June 23, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
Digital preorders for the anticipated remaster begin now for the Xbox One and PC, with pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch beginning on April 21, 2020.
There will be two special editions released. The first one, the Shiny Edition, will feature a 8"/20cm SpongeBob Figurine with Golden Spatula and flexible tongue, SpongeBob SquarePants tennis socks, and 6 Lithographs. Check out the trailer below:
The second special edition, the F.U.N. Edition, will do its utmost to relieve people of their wallets at its $299.99 price point. While including everything from the Shiny Edition, it will also pack in a 7"/18cm Figurine of Patrick, a Sandy 8"/20cm Figurine, and a set of Tiki Keyrings. The game itself will feature the player playing as SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy doing their utmost to save Bikini Bottom from the evil machinations of Plankton and his army of robots. Faithfully remade, there will also be a brand new Horde mode for two players, online and offline, and will include cut content from the original game, including the Robo Squidward boss fight and more.
