Today, during the opening keynote of the Roblox Developer Conference, a PlayStation release of the ultra-popular Roblox has been announced.
The announcement was made during the livestreamed conference directly by David "builderman" Baszucki, CEO and co-founder of Roblox Corporation.
According to Baszucki, PlayStation users will be able to enjoy Roblox next month.
Following the announcement, a live demo was showcased, with the game running at the same time cross-platform among a mobile device, a Meta Quest headset, and a PS5.
It's worth mentioning that the platform should also be made available on PS4.
Speaking of Meta Quest, Baszucki mentioned that during the first 5 days of the beta Roblox was installed on 1 million headsets. It'll launch for everyone later this month.
If you're unfamiliar with Roblox, it's a super-popular gaming and game creation platform released in 2006. It provides a ton of different user-created experiences and games. It's available on PC, iOS, Android, and Xbox, which was the only console platform on which players could enjoy Roblox before today's announcement.
