Today Ubisoft released a quick cinematic trailer to tease the reveal of the next season of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, dubbed "Operation Heavy Mettle."
We don't get to see much, besides what appears to be the gadget of the new operator. We already know that they hail from Korea from the roadmap shared in February and today we get the inevitable confirmation.
The gadget appears to be some sort of remotely controlled or autonomous minitank with sawblades at the front to destroy barriers. The nationality of the operator is confirmed by the Korean text on the side of the tank that means "weapon."
The full reveal of the new season will, as usual, come in the weekend. Precisely on Sunday, August 13 at 11:30 a.m. PDT, 2:30 p.m. EDT, 7:30 p.m. BST, or 8:30 p.m CEST, depending on where you live.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has been available for quite a while, and unlike its successor Rainbow Six Extraction, it has enjoyed great popularity among fans despite a relatively slow start, contributing rather significantly to Ubisoft's earnings.
The game is currently available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
If you're interested in the previous season, which is still ongoing, you can take a look at its animated trailer, featuring its operator Fenrir.
