Square Enix has announced a release date for its forthcoming PowerWash Simulator Warhammer 40k crossover. Yes, you read that right.
A special DLC pack that allows you to purge the unclean - quite literally - is arriving on February 27th, and it'll offer a range of Imperial objects to cleanse.
These include a Rogal Dorn battle tank, "the lofty carapace of a towering Imperial Knight", and more. The Warhammer folks are promising "exacting detail" in the DLC's recreations of Warhammer 40k locations, including "a full Sacristan Forgeshrine" and the surface of Mars viewed through a stained glass window.
To accompany the release date announcement, Square Enix and Games Workshop released a new trailer showing what you can expect from the DLC.
Amusingly, it features Tech-Priests cleaning objects using nozzles presumably blessed by the Omnissiah, as well as a typically Warhammer 40k voiceover urging players to purge the unclean.
You can check the trailer out here. It sets the tone for the DLC pretty nicely.
The PowerWash Simulator Warhammer 40k DLC is the latest in a string of crossover events for Square Enix's popular cleaning sim.
Other rather unlikely crossovers include Final Fantasy VII-based DLC in which players could clean the Guard Scorpion and Tifa's Seventh Heaven bar, as well as DLC based on the popular Back to the Future movie franchise.
Elsewhere in the world of Warhammer 40k, meanwhile, a console release for the turn-based tactical RPG Warhammer 40k: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters was announced last month, and Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 was delayed in December last year, so it's going to be a little while longer until you can take your chainsword to some heretical Orks.
PowerWash Simulator's Warhammer 40k DLC is due out across all platforms on February 27th. Watch this space for more on all things PowerWash Simulator and Warhammer 40k-related.
