Today Sony Interactive Entertainment presented the lineup of games sponsored via the India Hero Project, designed to support Indian developers.

Interestingly, all five games are coming to PC on top of PS5, which is certainly an interesting (albeit understandable) choice.

We start with Requital: Gates of Blood by Bengaluru-based studio Holy Cow Productions.

Requital: Gates of Blood

The game is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer, set in the Egyptian underworld of the Duat. We play the role of a warrior named Zahrah, who has to fight against a variety of l Gods, Demons, and Beasts.

The second game is Meteora, an arcade-style space game by Big Boot Games. As the title may indicate, the player plays the role of a meteor billions of years ago, trying to "survive" in the violent environment of the newborn universe.

On top of PS5 and PC, the game is also coming to PlayStation VR and a Steam page is already available for your wishlisting purposes.

Below you can watch a trailer, albeit it's a little old.

We then get to Fishbowl by Goa-based studio imissmyfriends.

It's a slice-of-life, coming-of-age story that lets you play as 21-year-old Alo as she lives alone in the city after getting her first job. She works from home as a video editor while trying to keep in touch with her loved ones. At the same time, she's grieving the loss of her beloved grandma.

You can watch a trailer below and wishlist the game on Steam.

SURI: The Seventh Note by Bengaluru-based Tathvamasi Studios is next on the menu. It's a 2D Metroidvania title set in mythical India and it features an interesting rhythm mechanic. The whole world moves in unison following the music tempo, but the player is immune from this, helping you navigate the traps awaiting on your path.

You can check out a gameplay video below.

Last, but not least, we take a look at Mukti by Mumbai-based studio Underdogs.

It's a first-person exploration game set in Sundarbans, West Bengal. The protagonist Vikram Roy is working at an excavation searching for the ruins of the Pala Dynasty, when the news spreads that he and his colleagues are accused of the mass killing of a tribe guarding the ruins and their treasures.

To avoid capture, Vikram needs to go into hiding in a museum, solving puzzles and exploring the beauty of ancient local artifacts.

The fact that all of the games included in this list are coming to PC shouldn't be too surprising, especially considering that PC gaming is more widespread on the local market than console gaming.

The India Hero Project's older brother China Hero Project initially revealed most of its games only for PlayStation consoles, but then most of them were released on PC, and some even on rival consoles after a while, like the excellent Anno: Mutationem and Hardcore Mecha.

Last year we also heard from Sony's CEO Kenishiro Yoshida that the Indian market is seen as a relevant growth opportunity for PlayStation.
