The newest Outriders patch has been released, and in it, the biggest issue the game is currently facing right now--the "Can't Connect To Server" issue--has not yet been fixed, nor has inventory been restored. Yet, there are a number of fixes in this Outriders update, meaning that something that has bugged you may no more vex your time.

Why Doesn't This Outriders Update Restore my Inventory?

Basically, the patch to restore the inventory and fix the characters has been about to go live for a while now, but there's been a few "edge cases" that have forced People Can Fly to continually delay the patch. The most difficult thing to fix has been giving characters the correct item levels as they are calculated by three variables: Character level, highest unlocked World Tier, and most completed Challenge Tier. All these issues combined means the restoration update has been taking longer than what the dev team has wanted or expected it to take. Given the choice of waiting for that testing to finish, or getting other needed fixes out, the developers decided to release the there fixes today.

What's in the latest Outriders Patch?

A bunch of crashes has been fixed. This many associated with the multiplayer, and that includes a bunch of other issues and bugs in the mode. Many gear, mods, skill, quest, level, and lighting bugs have also been fixed. AI snipers now give players more time to dodge their shots. The creatures in the Stargrave expedition have reduced knockback, which means there's also a greater delay between spawns and a reduced number of the creatures in general.

A notable fixed bug is how a skill damage improvement mod on gear with a higher level than the player would actually reduce damage when sued at lower World Tiers, which would definitely be no bueno. Another bug bugged out a killing shot if there was a number of mods not properly triggering their on shot/on critical shot effects. The last major bug that was fixed was the Trickster's "Hunt the Prey' skill to not teleport but still go into cooldown, which would suck if you really needed it to work and all it did was give a metaphorical middle finger.

There's old crash dumps that weren't being cleared from the computer, which were 300 MB files being left behind. There's now support for rebinding the Fn; Delete; End; PageDown; Insert Home; PageUp; Print Screen; Scroll Lock; CapsLock; keys, and finally the FOV can now be increased from 90 to 130.
