Today Square Enix and Bandai Namco presented a stage event dedicated to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth at Taipei Game Show in Taiwan.

The event was livestreamed and you get to take a look comfortably on your home screen, starting with some battle gameplay and a quest focusing on Red XIII. This kind of quest will include dialogue options, and your choice will influence the relationship with that specific character.

We then get to see more combat, combos (Renkei) between party members, and the ability to call summons to the battlefield to support the party.

We also take a look at the difficulty selection screen, divided in Action and Classic.  You can then select Easy, Normal, and Advanced at any moment, with the latter being a dynamic system that has the monsters matching your party's level, preventing you from grinding to out-level the enemy.

Last but not least, the developers showcased Chocobo customization, which can be done by purchasing items at dedicated stores by using a dedicated "golden feathers" currency. We also get a glimpse of Chocobo racing, which will show the customization you have picked.

You can watch the whole video below.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will launch for PS5 on February 29, 2024, and if you want a physical copy, you can pre-order one on Amazon.

If you'd like to learn more about this highly-anticipated JRPG, you can take a look at our hands-on preview and our interview with game director Naoki Hamaguchi.

If you'd like to see more gameplay and visuals, Square Enix shared plenty of reveals as of late. For instance, you can enjoy a recent story trailer or the reveal of the new designs for Vincent and Cid.

Interestingly, Square Enix is counting on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to reach its financial targets by the end of the fiscal year in March 2024.
