Sofia Dankis, a writer for Minecraft.net, has announced the first mob that players will be able to vote for in this year's Mob Vote. What is this event? Well, as part of Minecraft Live, there's a Mob Vote where players will be able to choose from an assortment of mobs and vote to add one to Minecraft. The first mob shown off is the glare, which is a mob that hates the dark and will help show you "areas that are dark enough for monsters to spawn." It finds them by flying to a dangerous dark area and throwing a tantrum, which will give players a decent idea of where they need to go to fight monsters.
Of course, you can't expect to vote for something just based on a description, right? Well, the folks running the Minecraft Live event agree with me, because they've posted a video showing off the glare. Check it out below:
If you'd like to vote for the glare, you can do so this Saturday, October 16, and vote on Twitter for this year's Minecraft Live event. If you want to know more about the event, you read about it here.
Want to play something else Minecraft related? Minecraft Dungeons is now available on Steam, so if you want a decent Minecraft ARPG and didn't want to buy it on the Epic Games Store, then now is a great time to get it.
