Third-party developers released a couple of relevant aircraft and airport add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator and showcased a couple more.
We start with the release by Cera Simaircraft of the Mil Mi-17V-5 helicopter, which is the export version of the Mi-8MTV-5. It's available on Simmarket for $36.62.
It comes with the following features.
- Three different exterior models: Civil version, Armor protection and Armor - weapon stores.
- Full interior and exterior PBR Materials, High-Definition textures.
- Paint-kit.
- 12 liveries
- Fully clickable 3D virtual cockpit.

Sundowners Simulation released Naval Air Station Miramar (KNKX). It's available on Simmarket for $22.63.
This is actually a fairly distinct rendition compared to the one introduced in the Microsoft Flight Simulator: Game of the Year Edition, as it depicts the base as it was in the late 1980s, before its transfer to the Marine Air Corps. Basically, it's perfect to play with your F-14 Tomcat and F-5E Tiger II and relive the original Top Gun.
It comes with the following features.
- Accurately handplaced autogen, roads, taxiways, aprons, matching real life pictures of the airfield as it was in the 1980s.
- Buildings, static objetcs to match historical datas from the 1980's.
- Numerous static aircraft, handplaced on the accurate parking spots with historical and accurate numbers including :
