Microsoft and third-party developers shared news about upcoming updates and add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, including both aircraft and an airport.

We start with Microsoft itself, which released the beta version of Sim Update 14. As usual, this is intended to test the sim update well ahead of its release before the Holidays. If you just want to enjoy the simulator without having to deal with issues, you should not opt in.

It includes relevant ATC improvements, better snow and ice coverage, even more enhancements for the Boeing 787, and much more. You can find the full patch notes on the official forum.

It's also worth mentioning that this is just the first iteration of the beta, and more features will likely come at a later time.

Moving on to third-party developers, the Block 2 update of the Airbus A320 by Fenix won't make it in time for October (as announced on the developer's Discord server), but in exchange, we get a gallery of really impressive screenshots showing the update to the model including basically everything.

Interestingly, despite the fact that the visual fidelity has been improved massively, it uses less video RAM than the original model. You can check it out below to see what I mean.

Next, is a look at two upcoming aircraft from IndiaFoxtEcho, the F-14 Tomcat in collaboration with Heatblur (which is currently in its third beta phase and the developers say won't be "simple and easy" to fly) and the Tornado

Last, but not least, Fly2High showcased more screenshots of its upcoming Jacksonville International Airport (KJAX) in Florida, United States.

With that said, that's all for today's daily Microsoft Flight Simulator news. As usual, you can count on our daily articles to keep you up to date with all of the add-ons coming for the sim.
