Microsoft and third-party developers had some relevant releases to share today for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We start with Microsoft, which launched the highly-anticipated beta of the Aircraft & Avionics Update 2 detailed a few days ago. The centerpieces of the update are the overhauled Boeing 787 and 747, adding a level of detail that is unprecedented in default aircraft in any other flight simulator thanks to the work of Working Title. The update also includes tweaks to the Garmin G3000 / G5000 and Garmin GNS430W / GNS530W avionics suites.

You can find the full patch notes on the official forums. As usual, do keep in mind that this is a beta, so issues are expected. If you'd rather wait for the stable version, it's scheduled to release on June 23.

Speaking of third-party releases, V Pilot launched Juan Santamaría International Airport (MROC), serving San José, the capital of Costa Rica.

At the moment, it has been released only on the official marketplace, so you'll have to find it there manually. The price is $16.49.
