Today, during a panel at New York Comic Con 2023, Insomniac Games revealed two new suits that will be included in the upcoming action-adventure game Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Both suits can be unlocked in the game (by collecting Tech Parts and tokens while playing and completing tasts), and the first for Miles Morales is named "Brooklyn 2099" and is designed by Marvel artist and illustrator Taurin Clarke.
Clarke mentioned that he wanted to create a suit that is "still very Brooklyn but futuristic." He also added that the game's artists elevated his original design by changing the material, which originally was more matte but received an additional sheen.
The second suit, named "Kumo Suit," is designed by Marvel artist, illustrator, and writer Peach Momoko, who wanted to mix the image of Spider-Man with the idea of a Japanese festival.
Both arms have full-sleeve tatoos and they are actually different from each other. Of course, a spider is tattooed on the back. Incidentally, "Kumo" means "Spider" in Japanese.
The original concept art Peach Momoko designed was also shared during the panel.
Senior creative director Brian Intihar also commented on the suits, mentioning that he believes that it's really important to let the artists express themselves.
His job is to embrace that and support it. Insomniac wants the 65 units in the game to all feel unique and different, making sure that they have the spirit of what the artists originally envisioned.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will launch in just a week on October 20, exclusively for PS5.
If you'd like to see more about the game, you can also watch a trailer from the latest PlayStation State of Play and another from the PlayStation Showcase in June. Incidentally, we recently learned that the game will have 30, 40, and 60 FPS modes and all support ray-tracing.
