A brand new trailer of Marvel's Midnight Suns revealed some new characters, a ton of action, and a release date for players looking to play the game.

The trailer, revealed during the Summer Game Fest stream, would see the likes of Venom joining the ranks of the villainous team created by the demoness Lilith. A deadly foe in its own right, Venom of course is the counterpart to Spider-Man, who joins the playable roster as a character on your side. The trailer also ends with another surprise, The Hulk has joined with Lilith, making the fight even more desperate as her dark influence grows.

The trailer ends with the game's official release date, October 7th.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is currently planned to be a tactical-RPG set in the Marvel Universe, this is after the game may have gone through some revamps earlier this year.  Developed by Firaxis games, the player will be a custom superhero known only as The Hunter, who will be joined by the likes of Spider-Man, Blade, Doctor Strange, and other heroes in a dark battle against Lilith and her demonic corrupted supervillains.

The gameplay will be turn-based in a style that will be reminiscent of the X-Com series, where the player must select a team of three heroes to take into battle against their foes. There will also be an element of randomness involved with character ability cards, a deck of abilities randomly distributed during a given mission, that can directly affect their foes, themselves, or the environment.

Marvel's Midnight Suns will be available for the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S and X.
