Today 2K Games announced the release date of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Marvel's Midnight Suns, alongside a bad surprise for fans on Nintendo Switch.
The game will release on PS4 and Xbox One on May 11, at the same time as Storm's DLC "Blood Storm." Speaking of DLC, they will all be available at the launch of the old-gen versions.
Speaking of the Nintendo Switch version, which was previously announced, it has been canceled. The game simply won't release on Nintendo's platform.
Incidentally, the next DLC will also be the last, with Firaxis apparently preparing to move on from their foray into the Marvel universe.
If you're unfamiliar with Marvel's Midnight Suns, it's a turn-based tactical RPG somehow similar in gameplay to Firaxis' how XCOM series, but with a few twists added. You get to lead a squad of Marvel superheroes and antiheroes against an otherworldly threat, and it's the first-ever game that lets you create and completely customize your very own Marvel hero or heroine.
The game is currently available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC If you'd like to know whether the game is worth your hard-earned money or not, you can read our review, in which our Brittany Alva defined it as "the ideal superhero game for just about everyone."
She also mentioned that "connecting with your comrades feels unique and organic, and the card battle system feels beautiful."
