Today Dragami Games announced the official title of the previously announced Lollipop Chainsaw remake, which has also been delayed.
The official title for the remake is now Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, and below you can take a look at the brand new logo delivered to TechRaptor via press release.
With the new title also comes the announcement that the release window has been shifted from the previously announced 2023 to summer 2024.
While the development team has been working hard on developing the game with a 2023 release in mind, Dragami's "commitment to offer the best quality possible experience to players" led them to make the difficult decision to extend the development timeline.
The developer apologizes to those who have been waiting for the remake and asks for their understanding.
If you're unfamiliar with the Lollipop Chainsaw remake, it was announced in July 2022 for undisclosed platforms. It aims to bring back the classic zombie action game with improved graphics while remaining as close as possible to the original game.
If you’re unfamiliar with Lollipop Chainsaw, it originally debuted for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012 developed by Grasshopper Manufacture. Some of the developers who worked on the original are currently working on the remake, including producer and Dragami Games CEO Yoshimi Yasuda.
If you're unfamiliar with the name Dragami Games, it recently split away from Kadokawa Games, the original publisher of the game, and inherited most of its staff and IPs including the excellent strategy JRPG Relayer, God Wars, Demon Gaze, Root Letter, and more.
