Asked during the latest episode of the Kinda Funny Gamescast (as reported by X user Eren | Caboose) Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 creative director Bryan Intihar mentioned that "they're all 1048."
If you're unfamiliar with Marvel's world-labeling standards, 1048 refers to Earth-1048, which is the universe in which Insomniac's game dedicated to your friendly neighborhood spider-man are set, alongside all of their tie-in comics and novels.
Interestingly, when Marvel's Wolverine was announced, the brief teaser which is basically all we have to go by included an Easter Egg which many interpreted as a reference to Earth-1048, a sticker on a fridge with the words "Radio Lowtown 1048 FM." You can see it above.
During the livestream, Intihar mentioned that Insomniac consciously decided not to put any Wolverine Easter Eggs in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
I'm just trying learn how to make Spider-Man or trying to get Spider-Man off the ground while there's another Marvel's thing... I think for us it's just "let's let that team cook. Let them make the game they want to make." Who knows what the future holds, but right now let's let them do their thing and that game is gonna be great.
So there you have it. If you've been scouring the game for references to Logan, you can give that up now, albeit Intihar did hint at going to the Wakandan Embassy with Miles to witness something cool (unrelated to Wolverine).
In the meanwhile, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is available exclusively for PS5. If you'd like to learn more about it you can read our enthusiastic review on top of our Andrew Stretch's thoughts on what may come in the future.
Incidentally, if you're interested in Marvel universes beyond Earth-1048, you can also read about Marvel's Midnight Suns, another great foray into the adventures of the beloved superheroes.
