This Is the Police and Rebel Cops developer Weappy has announced Hollywood Animal, a game that's all about managing your very own Hollywood movie studio.

The game is due to arrive on PC sometime next year and will let you take the helm of a Hollywood movie outfit "at the dawn of sound cinema".

You'll then take your studio through "decades of creative achievements and glamor", dealing with the "debauchery and dark deeds" at the heart of Hollywood Animal's world.

Hollywood Animal will appeal to fans of classic movie management sims.

If you're a fan of The Movies, or more recent fare inspired by that game like Blockbuster Inc or Moviehouse, then you'll almost certainly want to check out Hollywood Animal.

However, since this is a Weappy game, you can expect plenty of moral corruption and turpitude. You'll have to break a lot of ribs if you want to make it in this town, kiddo.

To accompany the game's announcement, Weappy also released a trailer showing off some of Hollywood Animal's art direction and gameplay. You can check that trailer out right here.

Weappy's previous titles include This Is the Police and its sequel, as well as the tactical strategy spinoff Rebel Cops, which was released back in 2019.

If you're a fan of the This Is the Police games, you'll be pleased to know that a new free investigation has been added to each of the games.

The investigations revolve around the Bloody Shirt movie franchise, which is iconic in This Is the Police's world. The stories of the investigations are interconnected; the first game's new case sets up the narrative and the second game's new case resolves it.

In any case, Hollywood Animal launches for PC in 2024. No mention has been made of console releases for the game, but stay tuned for more info on this and on all things Weappy.
