It's a pretty big day for Gunfire Reborn. The FPS Roguelike RPG has hit its 1.0 version on Steam and made it to 2 million copies sold worldwide, with developer Duoyi Network also announcing a partnership with 505 Games to release Gunfire Reborn on consoles in 2022.
Originally launching in May 2020, Gunfire Reborn has been steadily releasing content, with a new hero and hard mode released in August 2020 and a roadmap released last December. While it may look like a Borderlands clone, it's received 'Very Positive' reviews on Steam, with a 94% overall score.
“We are thrilled that 505 Games is embarking once again on an exciting project with Duoyi Network. Gunfire Reborn is a game we have followed since its incubation in Guangzhou and we are delighted to see it cross the 2 million units sales mark on PC.,” said Raffaele Galante, co-CEO of 505 Games with his brother Rami. “This new collaboration further deepens 505 Games’ presence in China, and confirms the emergence of China as a major development hub for innovative pay-to-play video game experiences and 505 Games as a bridge for outstanding Chinese developers going global.”
For those who don't know what the game is, it's a blend of an "ability-based hero shooter and Roguelite", with cel-shading similar to the Borderlands series. The game can be played solo or with up to three other players and all of you can use over 40 weapons and 100 scrolls, inscriptions, and Ascensions to craft interesting builds.
If you're interested in Gunfire Reborn, it is currently 25% off on Steam until November 24. You can also follow its Twitter or join its Discord here. For more information on Gunfire Reborn, stay tuned to TechRaptor for more details.
