The new GTA Online Go-Kart is available for free for all players right now and someone has discovered a fun little bonus feature — you can use the Dinka Veto Classic to rob stores on the go.
GTA Online is the multiplayer component for Grand Theft Auto 5 and is effectively a standalone game as far as Rockstar Games is concerned, so much so that it's going to be spun off into a standalone title. The online component recently launched The Cayo Perico Heist update which included a fun surprise for players — the debut of the Dinka Veto Classic go-kart.
It's a go-kart. That's it. There's nothing super special about the vehicle on its own, but it does have one apparent side benefit as shown in this amusing video from YouTuber Scottish Switchblade (via Reddit): you can use it to rob stores without getting out of the vehicle.
How to Rob Stores With the GTA Online Go-Kart
The GTA Online go-kart isn't just a nimble little vehicle — it can also apparently be used to rob stores in the game.
Robbing convenience stores is a good way for players to get easy money in the early game of GTA 5. This same mechanic carried over to GTA Online and is especially important for newer players since the online missions don't pay out nearly as well as those in the single-player game.
The process for robbing a store is simple: take out a gun, point it at the clerk, and wait for them to empty the cash register. Make sure you wear a mask, though, or you run the risk of the clerk recognizing you if you've done a previous robbery; he may very well decide to just shoot you instead. Once the bag is filled up with money, you can escape.
Typically, a player would do this on foot and then evade a 2-star wanted level by running or driving away. The GTA Online go-kart, however, is small enough that you can drive it into the building. From there, you can point your gun at the clerk and rob the store, all from the comfort of your very tiny driver's seat.
How To Get the Dinka Veto Classic For Free
As with most of the game's vehicles, the GTA Online go-kart has to be purchased by the player. However, there is an opportunity for you to get the Dinka Veto Classic for free — but only for the next two days.
"Thanks to the GTA Online community coming together to blitz The Heist Challenge last month, all GTA Online players who play between December 18th – 20th can head over to Southern San Andreas Super Autos to claim the new Dinka Veto Classic for free and to keep," read a recent article from Rockstar Games. "Be sure to pick up the Veto Classic this weekend before it goes up for sale on December 21st.
You can experience all of the GTA Online fun (and a tremendous grind, mind) by buying Grand Theft Auto 5 via its official website starting at $29.99 or your regional equivalent.
