During the company's financial conference call for investors and analysts, Take-Two Interactive Entertainment president Karl Slatoff and CEO Strauss Zelnick broke down the plans for releases in the current fiscal year and the next.

Following the reveal of the pipeline of games in development and planned for release by March 2026, Slatoff shared that during the current fiscal year (by March 2024) Take-Two plans to release 16 games.

3 of them will be "immersive core" games, which means AAA titles for consoles and PC, including NBA 2K24 and WWE 2K24, on top of an "eagerly anticipated new IP" from one of the publisher's premier studios. 2 of them will be "mid-core arcade titles" including Lego 2K Drive2 of the games will be iterations of previously released games, while 3 will be independent titles, including Private Division and Piccolo Studio's After Us. Lastly, 6 of the games will be mobile, including Star Wars Hunters.

For the following two fiscal years (by March 2026), Take-Two plans to release 14 immersive core games (including 6 sport simulation games), 2 mid-core games (one of which will be sport-oriented), 4 new iterations of previously released titles, 4 indie titles for Private Division including the partnerships with Pokemon developer Game Freak and with Weta Workshop, and 12 mobile games.

As usual, it's worth mentioning that this is just a snapshot of the pipeline, and some of the games might be canceled or delayed, while others may be added to the list. In fact, today's announcement mentioned that multiple games that were listed in the previous iteration of the pipeline have been internally delayed and canceled.

Earlier in the prepared remarks, Zelnick mentioned that in the fiscal year 2025 (between April 2024 and March 2025), the company plans to release "several groundbreaking games" that would enable the company to record a whopping $8 billion in net bookings. Of course, this possibly means that the company intends to launch Grand Theft Auto 6 between April 2024 and March 2025, but at the moment, no confirmation was provided and this is just educated speculation.

We also hear that 44% of the upcoming titles are new IPs, while the rest includes new iterations of existing franchises. Zelnick also expressed confidence in the ability to deliver the games listed in the pipeline, since Take-Two has been investing in it for a long time.

Incidentally, asked about continued support for old-gen consoles, he explained that Take-Two's labels will continue to support platforms on which they believe there's a meaningful audience. If and when the audience diminishes to a point where it's not economically viable, they'll stop supporting a certain platform.
