Coming December 15th

GTA Online is getting a major new update. Launching on December 15th, The Cayo Perico Heist will add - as you may expect - a new heist, as well as new social spaces, brand-new DJs and songs, and more.

What is the new GTA Online heist?

The Cayo Perico Heist takes you to the remote island hideout of the GTA world's most notorious drug dealer. You and your colleagues must breach the island of Cayo Perico, deal with the security, and nab as much loot as you possibly can in the process. Rockstar is calling this heist "the biggest GTA Online adventure ever". It'll also come with some changes to the way Heists work in the game; Rockstar says you'll be able to take on everything solo or with up to three other players. You can check out the trailer for GTA Online's The Cayo Perico Heist update right here:

In addition to the new Heist, this new GTA Online update brings with it plenty of other goodies. You'll also find new vehicles and tactical weapons to acquire, as well as new social spaces in which you can hang out with your friends. The Cayo Perico Heist update also adds over 100 new songs to the GTA Online experience, with new DJs heading up new radio stations to house the songs.

Perhaps most excitingly, Rockstar is promising that the new update will give you the chance to build up your very own "heavily armed" submarine HQ. The studio says this new submarine will be "very large [and] very versatile", and teases more details to be revealed in the coming weeks. Naturally, we'll bring you those details as soon as they come in. For now, start contacting your heist crew and get them ready to take on Cayo Perico.

Dark Souls changed my life, and I'm here to spread the good news. I like pretty much all sorts of games, but I judge everything by its proximity to our Lord and saviour, Dark Souls.
