The ever-popular Grand Theft Auto V released a "Festive Surprise Christmas Bonus Update" a few days ago, and with it comes the usual Rockstar spin on the holidays.

A new Adversary Mode called Beast vs Slasher was released, and is out for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In this new team vs team mode, the superhuman Beasts must try and escape the Slashers that pursue them.

Both sides have special abilities in order for them to feel unique and powerful. The Beasts feature not only a superhuman speed, they also have temporary invisibility and can jump over buildings. The Slashers are split into three groups: Demolition, Heavy and Assault, and they are all armed with RPG's, Miniguns, and Railguns for the first time in GTA Online. Along with this assortment of weaponry, the Slashers can also utilize thermal vision in order to track the Beasts.

The Adversary Mode is intended for 4-10 players, and in order for to achieve victory Rockstar recommends that each team will have to stick together and work with their teammates.

Another addition to the Festive update is snow, which is described as a 'rare phenomenon' for Los Santos. Players can now wear a Santa Costume and engage in snowball fights by pressing left on their d-pads to collect up to 9 snowballs. Players will also receive a Fireworks Launcher with five rockets from Santa, as well as a new Tampa muscle car.

The Southern San Andreas Super Autos has increased their showroom with, "the permanent addition of the brand new Declasse Tampa for PS4, Xbox One and PC." Rockstar recommends that because players can now own up to five properties in GTA Online, they should pick up their new car as soon as possible.

What do you think of the Grand Theft Auto V update? Are you a Slasher or a Beast? Let us know in the comments!
