After Sony's PlayStation 5 event earlier today, Gearbox decided to get in on the announce things randomly on twitter for the PlayStation 5 launch. Rather then clarifying something Sony said, altering something shown, or sharing information Sony somehow forgot to include in a 40 minute presentation and a series of blog posts, they were announcing the Godfall release date, and that Godfall will be a PlayStation 5 launch title.
Actually, that sounds like something else Sony forgot to include in their presentation.
What is the Godfall release date?
The Godfall release date on PC is simple - it's November 12th, and you can preorder it right now on the Epic Game Store if you so desire. On the PlayStation 5, it is a bit more complex because Sony didn't manage to achieve global parity on the PlayStation 5 release date. Whenever the PlayStation 5 becomes available in your region, is when the Godfall release date for PlayStation 5 is. That means for U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea it will be available on November 12th. The rest of the world will have to wait to pick it up with their PlayStation 5's on November 19th.

What is Godfall?
If you haven't been paying attention to the horde of virtual events, most especially those with an eye to the next generation, you may have missed Godfall. If so, welcome to 2020, and I'm sorry the world is not a nice place this year, but Godfall is not to blame for that.
Godfall is a third person hack and alsher with up to three-player co-op, following in the vein of ARPGs like Diablo and looter-shooters like Borderlands, which is conveniently a product of publisher Gearbox Software. There are 12 valorplates that can give you different abilities, 5 different weapon classes, and a lot of loot and leveling to be found in Godfall.
Unlike Sony's biggest games Godfall seems to be aiming for a traditional $60 price point on release. While not available to preorder on PlayStation 5 yet, on PC you can pick it up, and if you do, your inner Borderlands fanboy (if, unlike me, you have one) will be rewarded with the preorder bonus of Zero's Sword.
