Forspoken Frey Trailer

Today Square Enix released a cinematic trailer for the upcoming JRPG by Luminous Productions Forspoken.

The trailer showcases the game's protagonist Frey Holland as she traverses the magical land of Athia and faces a variety of monsters and enemies.

The game is getting close to its release, so times were pretty much mature for a cinematic trailer. You can enjoy it below.

Forspoken will release on January 24 for PS5 and PC, marking the first game developed by Luminous Production after the studio was assembled from veterans of the Final Fantasy XV development. It was originally supposed to launch in May 2022, but it was delayed to October. A second delay announced in July marked the current release date.

The game was originally announced as "Project Athia" in the summer of 2020, inspired by a tech demo that was originally associated with the Final Fantasy series. It was then renamed to "Forspoken" in 2021. It stars Charlie's Angels and Resident Evil actress Ella Balinska as the protagonist. Other known names among the cast include Janina Gavankar, Pollyanna McIntosh, Keala Settle, and Monica Barbaro, who recently starred as Natasha "Phoenix" Trace in Top Gun: Maverick.
