A new console exclusive game coming to the PlayStation 5 was revealed today at their not-E3 event. Project Athia, a working title, was teased for just a few moments, but it showed off what looked to be a beautiful fantasy world.

Cape billowing in the wind, we see what looks to be our protagonist teleport through the air to reach far off places. At one point she entangles a menacing looking wolf in some vines using magic.

Most interestingly, however, is that the main character in the teaser was shown to be wearing what looked like sneakers in the first shot of the teaser. Does this mean it's a story of someone transported to some mystical world? Or are we seeing some aftermath of what happened to our world?

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, few details were shared about Project Athia. Beyond that the name is a working title, the post goes into how Luminous Productions is excited to show off the game. Their goal has been to marry the new technology coming with the PlayStation 5 with an amazing experience.

Using that new tech, they want to create a wonderful fantasy-filled world for players to explore. They describe the world and story they're creating like this: "Project Athia will take you on a thrilling other-worldly adventure – it is going to be action-packed, and at times twisted, tempestuous, and forbidding. It is a journey that we want to feel as much yours as it is our protagonists."

We'll have to wait for more details on Project Athia, of which we have no release date yet. Project Athia is the debut title from Luminous Productions, a subsidiary of Square Enix. It will be releasing on PlayStation 5 and PC.

What do you think of Project Athia? What do you think it will be? It definitely seemed like a way to show off the PlayStation 5's tech, but what will it really be about? Let us know in the comments below!
