Koei Tecmo has revealed that the first piece of Fate/Samurai Remnant DLC, Record's Fragment: Keian Command Championship, is officially launching later this week.

The DLC will be released on Friday, and it'll involve the mysterious Boss of Babyloni-ya, who "summons Masters and Servants to a strange arena" for a tournament.

We don't know too much else about the DLC right now, including what you'll actually be doing in it, but it's a safe bet that you'll be fighting in the Boss' tournament, so you'd better make sure your sword arm is ready.

Babyloni-ya's Boss says he's "seized control" over these heroes' fates.

Per an earlier teaser trailer, each piece of Fate/Samurai Remnant DLC will offer "additional scenarios, new Servants, stages and more", so we'll presumably be getting at least some of that from Record's Fragment: Keian Command Championship.

Of course, if you've picked up the Fate/Samurai Remnant Season Pass, you'll get this DLC at no additional cost, so make sure you don't accidentally buy it again.

Said Season Pass also grants access to two additional DLC packs to be released at some point in the future, as well as a bonus set of Hallowed Relic Sword Mountings.

If you're not familiar with Fate/Samurai Remnant, it's part of the long-running Fate/stay night series, which began with the original Fate/stay night (which is finally getting a Western release later this year).

First announced by Koei Tecmo and Type-Moon in January last year, the hack-and-slash action RPG was released in September.

Fate/Samurai Remnant follows the ronin Miyamoto Iori, who's drawn into an offshoot of the series' recurring Holy Grail War by the name of the Waxing Moon Ritual.

Together with his Servant Yamato Takeru, Miyamoto Iori must uncover the mystery behind the Waxing Moon Ritual, all while doing battle with fellow Masters and their Servants.

You can grab Fate/Samurai Remnant right now on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Nintendo Switch. The first DLC for the game launches on Friday, February 9th. You can read our very own Austin Suther's review of the game here if you want to get a sense of whether it's for you or not.
