Level-5 has announced that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been delayed until next year.

In a post on the game's official website, Level-5 says that in order to deliver the game "in better quality to everyone", Fantasy Life i will no longer launch in 2023.

Instead, it's been pushed back to an unspecified date in 2024. Level-5 says it plans to announce the new date during its Vision 2023 II stream, which will take place on November 29th.

If you're unfamiliar with Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, it's a followup to 2014's whimsical 3DS RPG Fantasy Life.

Originally announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation in February, the "social slow-life RPG" serves as a followup to the original Fantasy Life, but you likely won't need to have played the first game to understand this one.

Much like in the original, you'll be able to choose from a variety of "lives", some of which are combat-oriented and some of which lean more towards crafting or gathering.

Fantasy Life i will once again take place in Reveria and will revolve around two central mysteries: the titular girl who steals time, and a dragon that's taken to soaring through the skies.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time isn't the only game that's getting a release date during the upcoming Level-5 Vision 2023 II stream.

We'll also be getting a release date for upcoming soccer RPG Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, which has been a long time in the making.

Level-5 is also promising "heaps of new information" during the stream, although it's unclear whether we'll be getting more info on Level-5 titles other than the two aforementioned RPGs.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is set for a 2024 release. Stay tuned for more information on this and on all other things Level-5 related.
