Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road

Today, During the Level-5 Vision 2023 presentation, the developer announced that Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will be released worldwide.

The latest installment of the veteran soccer JRPG franchise will be released in 2023 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

The game will have a brand new setting, Nagumohara Junor High in Nagasaki, on the western Japanese island of Kyushu. The new protagonist, Unmei Sasanami, has abandoned soccer, but his feeling for the sport are stirring once more. He will put together a team to take back the sport he used to love.

He will have to face many adversaries, to climb to the top and play against the "soccer monster" Haru Endo.

The game includes 5v5 soccer matches with a new freestyle system and players will be able to enjoy the game on their TVs, in portable mode, on their smartphones, and both in landscape and portrait modes.

There is a big collection element in  Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road as the Chronicle Mode lets players face off against over 4,500 characters from the series'  past.

The new Inazuma V Caravan ("V" stands for "Victory") lets you witness the history of the series and traverse the Chronicle Competition Routes to battle against glorious teams from previous Inazuma Eleven games. This will let you unlock these characters in the Player's Universe and turn them into your allies in the Bond Alley.

We also learn that the anime cutscenes within the game have been produced by well-known animation studio Mappa. The game includes more hours of anime cutscenes than any of its predecessors to elevate the story.

You can check the new trailer out below.

The game has been in developer for a long time. It was originally announced as Inazuma Eleven Ares all the way back in 2016 before being delayed multiple times. Now, it appears that the long wait the fans had to go through is finally coming to an end.
